Q: Do I need a consultation?

A: I prefer to do consultations prior to booking a permanent makeup service. I like to go over the procedure that you are interested in its entirety. This also allows me to see your skin condition and skin type, the undertone of your skin which plays a big part in the color pigment choice I make for you and also allows me to answer all of your questions you may have. Most importantly, it gives me a chance to get to know you and to understand what your expectations are for your permanent makeup. I believe in working closely with you and making sure there is good communication and making sure there is no stone unturned. Consultations are free of charge and can be done either

in person (preferred) or virtually.

Q: Do I need to make deposit for booking a permanent makeup appointment?

A: Yes, I require a non refundable booking fee of $100. which will go towards the

balance of your service due on the day your appointment is scheduled.

Q: I don't see you offer Microblading... What is the difference between

Microblading, Ombré/Powder Brows and Nano Brows?

A: Microblading is a manual technique done with a hand held tool in which it cuts in to the skin depositing pigment to create hair like strokes. This method is not ideal for all skin types. Ombré/Powder Brows is a shading technique done by machine using a single needle or a small configuration of needles leaving pixilated dots of pigment resembling a powder makeup look.

This can either be a bold look or more of a soft powder look. This method is well suited for all skin types. These brows can last between 1-3 years depending on skin condition and type, skin care used, lifestyle and of course how well you follow your aftercare instructions. Nano Brows are also done by machine using a single needle making hair like strokes throughout the brow making for a more natural look. This technique can also be combined with some shading to add depth making

it a combo brow AKA Nano Hybrid Brow. This technique is well suited for most skin types.

These brows can also last between 1-3 years depending on the conditions mentioned above.

Q: My skin is super oily, would permanent makeup be for me?

A: Oily skin typically retains the least amount of pigment due to oil production and products used. There may be a need for a second touch up appointment depending on how your skin heals and retains the pigment and how close you follow your aftercare. The Ombré/Powder Brow would

be the best option for those with an oily skin type.

Q: Will I need a Touch Up?

A: This is a 2 step process. On the initial appointment I lean more towards the conservative side.

I tend to go a bit lighter with the color and smaller on the size and shape of your brow. Everyones skin reacts and heals differently and there is no way of telling how your skin will heal. It may heal patchy, it may be lighter in spots, the shape may heal uneven, for those reasons, it is highly recommended to come back for the Touch Up. Think of it in terms of polish on your nails…

2 coats are always better than one and gives that beautiful complete look!

Q: Is there a separate charge for the Touch Up appointment?

A: Yes, the Touch Up appointment is $100 and is not included with the initial service price.

Q: Does it hurt?

A: It’s important to me that I make sure you are comfortable throughout the appointment. Although I do not pre numb, once your skin is open I will use a secondary numbing product, some clients have even fallen asleep during the procedure. At the most, you will feel a scratching sensation, and clients say it’s about a 3 out 10 pain level and tolerable, they also say waxing hurts more! If at any time you start to feel uncomfortable just let me know and I will take care of you!

Q: What is the healing period like?

A: For Brows: Day 1 your permanent makeup will be darker than what you will expect….

It’s fresh! On day 2-4 it will even appear darker. Anywhere from days 5-10 you will have some flaking and the area could be on the itchy side from healing…. totally normal! On days 10-15 it will appear as though the pigment is fading and disappearing, this is called the “ghosting” stage… also normal. Days 15-30 the color will reappear but may look a bit patchy. 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment you will be in for your touch up…. and they will be perfect again!

For Eyeliner: This is the easiest healing of the permanent make up services. Your eyes could become a bit swollen from the procedure but should go down within the next several hours.

You will still go through the flaking period but will appear healed quicker than brows.

Q: Do you work on women of color?

A: Yes! ALL skin tones are welcome in my studio! I have taken several hours of training both online and in person. I have been specifically trained in permanent makeup for women of color!

Q: Will there be any maintenance required after I get my brows tattooed?

A: If there is any hair outside of the mapping area for the brows, I remove ONLY those hairs. (I DO NOT SHAVE off your brows!) Those hairs will grow back. After the flaking/peeling part of your healing process you can come back and see me to have your brows maintained by waxing them. This will not disturb your tattoo and will keep your investment looking on point.
